Strategic clinical manager of daily operations

This position is located at the Brook Health Center.


  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the rural health clinic and staff.
  • Maintain an active presence in areas of assigned responsibilities.
  • Operations management.
  • Develop Nurse Practitioner Goals and objective plans, with action points to meet those goals. Regularly review and report progress towards goals.
  • Articulate and support organizational priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Understand general accounting principles and understand financial statements for the clinic.
  • Function independently within a collaborative practice agreement.
  • Appropriately triages patient care.
  • Documentation reflects primary care provider role according to regulatory standards.
  • Patient care management.
  • Serve as a resource to nursing staff and other health care personnel in the acquisition of knowledge and skills.
  • Assist and provide direction to nursing staff with clinical decision making and priority setting.
  • Provide input into the development of educational information, materials, and programs related to patient needs.
  • Educate patient and or families about preventative care, medical issues and use of prescribed medical treatment or medications.


  • Effective and compassionate communication skills when dealing with patients, families, and health care workers.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnoses, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management protocols for acture/chronic health problems of pediatric, adult, and gerontologic patients.
  • Knowledge of regulations associated with prescribing controlled and non-controlled substances.
  • Practice sound methods of clinical judgment and ethical decision making.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills required.



5-10 Years Experience

License(s): Nurse Practitioner

Certification(s): Basic Life Support Program; Drug Enforcement Administration

Travel: Never or Rarely
