WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

NW Indiana Franciscan Health Hammond Hospital is looking for a full time Pharmacy Manager who will be responsible for pharmacy oversight and operation of five outpatient infusion centers.     The position will manage high-performing pharmacy care teams to deliver collaborative clinical patient medication management services and efficient pharmacy operations. WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Serve as an internal expert to the organization, in areas of sterile compounding in accordance with USP 797, hazardous drug handling in accordance with USP 800, 340B regulation and infusion medication reimbursement. Based on this expertise, develop and implement policy, procedure, and training programs for staff.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with medical staff, hospital leaders, revenue cycle leaders, clinical denial team members and frontline infusion staff to ensure goals are in congruence.
  • Serve on various committees and represent pharmacy services in planning, communication and decision-making discussions including facilitating monthly multidisciplinary infusion department meetings.
  • Prepare reports that are professionally written to provide accurate interpretation of information including quality assurance; monthly revenue, expense and 340B savings; and financial trends and outliers.
  • Obtain and manage human, financial and physical resources for a team of locally based pharmacy personnel to achieve consistently high levels of performance and compliance with HRSA, HFAP, Board of Health, Board of Pharmacy, DEA and other applicable agencies.
  • Act as communication link between pharmacy management, nursing leadership, staff and internal and external customers regarding operations, medication management, contracting decisions, safety, risk, quality and other information as needed. Ensure exchange of information (written and verbal) and ideas is timely, effective and respectful.
  • Maintain knowledge of Franciscan Pharmacy System strategies, the infusion marketplace and reimbursement trends for outpatient infusion drugs.
  • Provide occasional staffing support for oncology and infusion pharmacy as needed.

  • Must possess five (5) years of progressive clinical experience
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Ambulatory or Home Infusion experience preferred
