WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Act as a liaison to the patient/customer to assist with locating a provider and scheduling appointments through primarily inbound calls. 
  • Register patients and verify insurance coverage.
  • Interact with patient/customers to determine needs, scheduling or canceling appointments, or referring to correct staff/provider. 
  • Communicate and collaborate with clinical staff and fellow coworkers to serve patients.
  • Identify additional opportunities to serve patient and/or family members with additional referrals/appointments during interactions.
  • Make outbound calls to offer these same services to current and in response to patient responses to marketing campaigns.
  • Liaison to patients and family members to document, respond, escalate or resolve inquiries and/or complaints. 
  • Support team with daily workloads, as required.
  • Document appropriately in electronic medical record and other engagement center software.

  • Interact in a professional manner to create/continue a positive patient relationship.
  • Must be able to nurtue calls by transitioning patient inquiries into scheduled appointments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care requirements under Medicare/Medicaid and other third party payor programs.
  • Basic computer software skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
