Shared Services Leader

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our Franciscan leader of Enterprise Shared Services will be responsible for the overall design, implementation, ongoing management, improvement and strategic direction of Franciscan Alliance’s Enterprise Shared Services organization. This position will directly lead all functional aspects of Enterprise Shared Services to include Hire to Retire, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report functions.  The Vice President, Enterprise Shared Services works closely with the Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Information Technology leaders.  This leader will be responsible for defining, building and leading the execution of the shared services function, and managing relationships with external vendors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and instituting a set of appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and developing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) which will serve as the foundation for the activities of the group and act as a key measurement of success of the group.  These metrics will align with, and serve to further, the business goals of the organization.  An important aspect of the successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to communicate the vision and goals of the shared service function within the organization in a highly collaborative and positive manner and drive execution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Provide vision, strategic leadership, planning, and guidance for the development, implementation and management of an effective Shared Services organization.
  • Lead the service delivery team to create, build, and implement effective, efficient, and consistent operational processes, leveraging technology improvements and ensuring optimal utilization of all resources.
  • Provide strategic direction for the development of all aspects of Shared Services budget, financial planning, operational planning, and workforce planning. 
  • Create financial forecast, plan, and budget, in partnership with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and IT leadership.
  • Accountable for the overall operations scorecard, including service level agreements (SLA), metrics, resource and financial management.
  • Define and communicate to business leadership internally-set service quality standards and metrics that are consistent with external benchmarks of high performing organizations; ensure that all aspects of Shared Services work consistently and achieves performance standards. 
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customer base, serve as an interface between internal and external (business) customers to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Responsible for negotiating multi-year agreements focused on increasing service levels while driving down costs.
  • Provide vision of a comprehensive technology strategy. 
  • Ensure the function complies with all federal, state, and regulatory laws.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contract terms in conjunction with the Supply Chain function.
  • Provide leadership surrounding integration activities associated any acquisitions or divestitures.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior Corporate Services and/or Project Management experience.
  • Accomplished leader in developing organizations, mentoring others, and building diverse, high performing teams
  • Strong operational knowledge with previous exposure to Finance, Supply Chain and HR.
  • Experience with building a shared services function; proven background leading a multi-tiered service delivery operating model that interfaces with employees, business leaders, and vendors/suppliers.
  • Superior client service skills, strong interpersonal skills, and close attention to detail.
  • Act as a change agent with experience in leading and successfully driving change. 
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, FP&A, forecasting, business performance, and reporting.
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving capabilities to lead fact-based decision-making and solutioning.
  • Superior critical thinking, communication, and consulting skills.
