ROLE DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE

The Corporate Finance Business Partner is responsible for maintaining fiscal operations, including adherence to System and IS policies and procedures, GAAP, and federal and state laws. At Franciscan, this role develops financial reports and analysis that are timely and accurately prepared in accordance with GAAP. They oversee the financial accounting resources, associated activities and System’s audit, tax and compliance activities. This role also oversees the division’s operating budget, financial forecast, capital plans and performance that is consistent with the System’s budgeting and forecasting objectives. The Business Partner will also work closely with the CFO to execute reporting, analysis, and business planning activities.
 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES
  • Oversee fiscal activities, accounting resources and performance
  • Conduct and provide financial analysis and planning to support the System and Franciscan Performance Optimization function
  • Assist with scenario planning and business case development with the CFO
  • Work with the program management office on project planning, analysis and short and long term value of projects and performance to the plan
  • Develop business plans, estimates and value propositions
  • Develop annual budget and provide finance and other process/cost improvement opportunities
  • Partner with System Finance to coordinate various projects and activities, including monthly financial close, annual audit, internal audit, tax, forecast and capital management
  • Partner with divisions and sites to perform financial review and identify variances and opportunities
  • Monitor KPIs and strategies
  • Manage the performance and activity of the team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • MBA or CPA
  • 5 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • Senior financial leadership experience in an IT organization preferred
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Project management and/or Change management certification preferred
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – effective communicator, problem solver, and adaptable
  • Self-starters who take initiative, possess attention to detail and are adaptable
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Domain expertise in financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, budgeting and reporting software (e.g. Kaufmann Hall)
