WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Restock supplies and order supplies as appropriate by the end of each shift.
  • Develop and process images in a timely manner.
  • Obtain, review and utilize all history and special instructions relevant to the procedure being requested.
  • Educate and inform patients and family to promote understanding and cooperation to ensure the optimal quality of procedures.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate manager and Clinical Engineering in a timely fashion.
  • Provide technical assistance on lab equipment as required.
  • Provide basic, required, historical patient information relative to the examination, on 95% of examinations performed.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist.  
  • Maintain composure, even in very difficult situations.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Must be alert and observant to detect conditions that may be dangerous to patients and employees.
  • Show sincere interest in others and their concerns.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Exercise initiative and judgement in determining proper anatomical posture/positioning for patients appropriate to the examination required; selection of proper exposure factors; and the avoidance of unnecessary discomfort in the handling of the patient.
  • Knowledge of the hazards encountered with the use of radiographic equipment.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

0-1 Years Experience

License(s): ARRT-R; Diagnostic X-Ray Machine Operator

Certification(s): Basic Life Support Program

Travel: Never or Rarely
