WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Perform delegated patient care procedures keeping in mind the age specific needs of the patient.
  • Documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
  • Perform delegated patient care procedures keeping in mind the age specific needs of the patient.
  • Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
  • Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Demonstrate tact and understanding when dealing with others.  Responds in a positive manner to constructive criticism.


 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
 

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must have completed one of the following programs to be eligible:
    • Graduate of a certified nursing assistant program (CNA license)
    • Completion of the Franciscan on the job PCA I training program
    • Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with 1 semester of hospital clinicals completed
    • Graduate of an accredited Patient Care Technician program
  • If completed one of the following programs must test out of the Patient Care Assistant Program or complete all or part of the Patient Care Assistant program:
    • Completed EMT course
    • Completed Military Medical Corps program
    • Completed Medical Assistant training program

Current American Heart Association CPR certification is desirable but not required.
