WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Patients, families, doctors, nurses… everyone who enters a Franciscan Health facility trusts that the building is clean, safe and stocked. They rely on that so that their focus is on health care. Our Environmental Services Manager makes sure this is all maintained. It’s not a job we take lightly and we’re looking for reliable people to help.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensures compliance readiness including HFAP, State, and Federal agencies.
  • Develop, implement and manage policies and a budget, ensuring cost control and expenses are in alignment with the budget.
  • Ensure departmental and organizational policies and procedures are followed, particularly safety and department specific processes.
  • Make decisions for direct reports and performs people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.
  • Manage departmental finances and productivity to achieve budget targets.
  • Manage departmental human resources activities including recruitment and selection, and performance management.
  • Manage inter- and intra-departmental communication including attending meetings to represent EVS.
  • Manage linen and EVS supply ordering.
  • Supervise direct reports and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior EVS leadership experience. 
  • Budget and Change Management.
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and scope of service for facility.
  • Basic skills in computer software, hardware, and communication devices to perform tasks.
  • Manage conflict and tactfully handle complaints and difficult situations.
  • Detailed and well organized.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings.
  • Knowledge of financial and business management principles.
  • Critically evaluate and analyze information in written materials.
  • Quality improvement processes.
  • Supervisory and team leadership skills, including coaching, engaging and developing employees.
  • Coordinate teams and delegate work.
  • Effectively communicate in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
