Experience in Pediatrics with phlebotomy skills is preferred.  This is mobile position traveling to different locations daily.

Shots and immunizations can be critical to our patient’s health care. From newborns to adults, patients of all ages may require a vaccination at some point. Our Immunization Program Clinician administers these shots and immunizations and does so while being providing the best patient care. Think you’ve got what it takes?

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Transport biologicals, sharps, and other required supplies to clinic sites safely and securely.
  • Provide patient care at the on-site and off-site clinic departments in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform emergency response duties, consistent with training provided and in accordance with Hospital policy, including epinephrine administration during an anaphylaxic reaction.
  • Document patient immunization including but not limited to immunization type, date, and refusal of vaccination.
  • Review protocols and age-specific vaccine requirements prior to the opening of the clinic.
  • Administer vaccines, drawing vaccine according to manufacturer’s instructions and administer to the patient using safe and proper techniques and a system of double checks.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior Nursing/Patient Care and/or Pediatrics experience.
  • Adapt to high volume and high stress areas.
  • Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
  • Knowledge of biohazard waste procedures. 
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Basic Life Support (BLS) emergency care.
  • Adapt to multiple clinical settings.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Data entry.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Learn quickly and through multiple channels.
  • Knowledge of procedures and protocols necessary to provide patient safety.
  • Reading comprehension.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
  • Coordinate teams and delegate work.
  • Time management.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
