Are you able to follow psychosocial plans? Do you communicate well with patients, families and fellow staff? Are you experienced in therapeutic behavioral health? We have a special place that needs your skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Answer telephone and returns voicemails in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the execution and completion of Emergency Detention Orders.
  • Assist Telehealth psychiatrists in the use of the InTouch Vici "Robot" as needed.
  • Complete all required forms including pre-authorization for admission.
  • Implement patient disposition as ordered.
  • Obtain and document a psychosocial assessment in the electronic record.P
  • Report patients' clinical needs to the psychiatrist on call.
  • Utilize community resources effectively.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior Social Services experience.
  • Knowledge of Crises Intervention theory, including de-escalation training.
  • Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Adapt to multiple clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of common diagnostic procedures.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of ASAM criteria and understanding of DSM-5.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Make decisions and use judgement in ambiguous situations.
  • Manage conflict and tactfully handle complaints and difficult situations.
  • Understanding of principles of quality patient care and procedures and protocols necessary to provide patient safety.
  • Show sincere interest in others and their concerns.
  • Time management.
  • Works effectively with outside agencies to provide a continuum of care.
