WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Escort and transport patients in a timely and safe manner.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment and ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to assess, secure, and coordinate appropriate services through the continuum of care.
  • Practice established safety guidelines and uses mire safety tools and techniques.
  • Assist passengers on and off the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and follow the safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes.
  • Take part in participant care planning and contribute to notations in medical record.
  • Report important information to proper staff of Franciscan Alliance PACE daily regarding any changes, progress, or unusual events concerning any participant.
  • Conduct daily checks of  PACE vehicles prior to transporting participants.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior experience with a frail or elderly population.
  • Prior experience PACE program experience.
  • Good problem solving abilities.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with staff, patients, doctors, and families.
  • Knowledge of professional regulation and facility/program accreditation requirements.
  • Flex schedule to accommodate patient and support system needs.
  • Manage stress and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Interact effectively with geriatric patients.
  • Use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms.
  • Navigate stairs and narrow spaces, tolerate heat and lack of air conditioning.
