WHAT WE NEED

Organized medical equipment leader

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Inventory and warehouse management, supervision of daily operations, and intake management… each of these tasks requires detailed oversite and reporting to ensure high quality patient care is administered. Our Durable Medical Equipment Manager provides that management and also handles problem resolution when necessary.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Responsible for daily management and supervision of order intake, order processing, reimbursement evaluation, reimbursement collections, inventory and warehouse management and product selection and delivery.
  • Implement and manage intake, collection and field staff workflow to maintain compliant and efficient processes through documented department procedures.
  • Manage and ensure staff competency, education, and training is completed by direct reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in order to standardize patient care and improve workflow efficiencies.
  • Oversee record management for all staff to verify all service line documentation is maintained within acceptable time frames and requirements as defined by Franciscan Durable Medical Equipment policy, CMS, ACHC, state and federal standards and regulations.
  • Participate as a team leader in the management of the Performance Improvement Committee. Report performance improvement data to the Franciscan Alliance, Inc. Performance Improvement Committee as required.
  • Manage current procedures and develops new procedures as recommended by the Franciscan Durable Medical Equipment department Performance Improvement Committee.
  • Responsible for the management and adherence to the budget and overall expense control.
  • Organize and lead monthly department meetings, while providing oversight to individual department team meetings and/or training.
  • Manage professional development activities to ensure efficient operations, customer service, patient and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage on-call operations for all service areas including: primary on-call, respiratory therapy and technician services to provide coverage 24-hours per day, seven days a week.
  • Identify problem areas and effectively utilizes resources to address concerns in a satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain quality of service and employee productivity during periods of increased and/or decreased service volume.
  • Evaluate workflow and provides direction to staff during situations requiring alteration to maintain successful outcomes and reduce potential adverse effects on the work environment.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance for providing durable medical equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively.
  • Understanding of organizational theory and application.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuous professional growth, managing the development and excellence in the delivery of high quality, safe patient care.
