A continuous improvement specialist

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Are you passionate about developing people and continuous improvement? If so, we are looking for a dynamic Transformation Specialist to join our healing ministry. As we continue our lean transformation journey, we are seeking a team member that can build relationships and develop people while engaging the organization in Managing for Daily Improvment (MDI) and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Coach – Coach front-line staff, supervisors, managers and local leadership in continuous improvement activities. 
Facilitate – Leads and facilitate continuous improvement activities, such as, projects, workshops, and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) that are strategically aligned with organizational goals. 
Train – Supports and conducts training activities of MDI and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. 
 

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • 3-5 years of hands on experience leading performance improvement projects within healthcare or service-related environment utilizing formal methodologies required. i.e. Lean, Model for Improvement, Six Sigma.
  • Ability to motivate and methodically lead a team to problem-solve towards results
  • Experience with performance improvement data analysis and visuals
  • Working knowledge of implementing visual management strategies to facilitate key performance indicators (KPIs) at the ground level with day-to-day employee activities
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully working well with and motivating diverse work teams, including front-line employees. 
  • Effectively listens well and the ability to communicate across the organization. 
  • Must be comfortable speaking in public and to various audiences.
  • Highly respected team player/learner.
  • Effective at A3 thinking, PDSA, MDI and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office personal computer applications, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to meet organizational goals, adapt to changing needs and work through ambiguity


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

License(s):

Certification(s): Certified Black Belt or Lean Bronze (within 1 year), or equivalent Lean experience.

Travel: Occasional travel; mostly with Franciscan faciities
