WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

There are times in health care when multiple resources have to work together for prenatal care: a patient, his or her family, primary care provider, and more. In these situations, one person who can support each of those person’s needs is critical. The Prenatal Care Coordinator helps coordinate with community agencies and marketing program services to physicians as well as the community– and does so with compassion and skill. It’s not an easy job, but the rewarding ones rarely are.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate and coordinate program efforts to insure program objectives are met.
  • Assist in the training of all new staff members.
  • Serve as a liaison between the hospitals, physicians, different clinics, as well as community agencies to ensure continuity and quality of program services.
  • Represent Prenatal Program at local and state functions concerning funding and other support when necessary.
  • Prepare appropriate documents for proposals of requests for funding to community agencies.
  • Prepare appropriate reporting documents to Administration and all current funding agencies.
  • Monitor and maintain productivity and statistical records related to program operations.
  • Maintain guidelines for quality assurance programs.
  • Assist with projecting budgetary needs and establishing goals and objectives for the Prenatal Assistance Program.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Computer literate in electronic documentation system and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, and work assertively and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

3-5 Years Experience

License(s): Basic Life Support Program; Registered Nurse

Certification(s): Not Applicable

Travel: Never or Rarely
