WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Occupational therapists have the special training to evaluate patients and develop a plan to help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills. It’s a job that requires a special touch and the ability to establish good patient relationships. WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
  • Document patient assessments and pertinent information in a timely manner.
  • Develop a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment.
  • Complete appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning.
  • Provide occupational therapy, including selection and use of adaptive equipment.
  • Collaborate with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
  • Train and educate patients and family members or others support and document understanding of treatment plan and goals.
  • Provide occupational therapy according to standards of care defined by the state practice act and other professional and governing agencies.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and Home Health Aides.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior Occupational Therapy and or Home Health experience.
  • Maintain composure, even in very difficult situations.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Accept personal accountability for deliverables and actions.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
  • Time management.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Deliver patient education under established protocols.
  • Develop own ways of working effectively and efficiently.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Show sincere interest in others and their concerns. 


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

1-3 Years Experience

License(s): Drivers License; Indiana Credential; Occupational Therapist

Certification(s): Basic Life Support Program

Travel: Up to 100%
