WHAT WE NEED

Coding Supervisor – Ambulatory Physician Services

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Healthcare diagnoses, procedures, services, equipment… basically everything that goes into patient care must be coded and entered into our system. Overseeing this work takes someone with the ability to monitor compliance and motivate a staff to meet efficiency goals. Think you’ve got what it takes?

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist the Corporate Ambulatory Coding Operations Manager Coding by directly overseeing front end coding queues for physician’s professional services
  • Hold coding staff accountable to quality and productivity standards, and monitoring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Assist the manager with employee performance feedback, evaluation, hiring and disciplinary action.
  • Manage coding front end workflows to ensure efficiency
  • Enforce compliance with the corporate coding compliance plan.
  • Assist with standardization all aspects of coding operations that aligns with acute and ambulatory corporate initiatives.
  • Identify front end coding workflow trends or education opportunities for the providers and offices.
  • Monitor queues for missing documentation, coding queries and ensuring timely filing limits are not exceeded and items are elevate operational leadership.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of corporate documentation, policy and procedures for standardized operations.

  • Proven success in a collaborative environment with multi-facility experience.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience

Certification(s): Certified Professional Coder; Registered Health Information Administration; Registered Health Information Tech

Travel: Never or Rarely
