WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Medical record documentation has become an industry all its own. An industry that has strict coding requirements and compliance standards. Our Ambulatory Coding Analyst must be current on all federal and state requirements and procedures. Our physicians and healthcare providers depend on it.

 

Are you accurate and thorough in your work? Are you able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization? Can you work with the strictest confidentiality? If so, we have an important role that needs your skills. 

 

This position will split time working at the Franciscan Dyer office location and from home.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Remains current on Federal and State coding and documentation requirements and serves as an expert coding and compliance resource for the Franciscan Alliance physician practices.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality and adheres to all Franciscan Alliance privacy policies.
  • Assist in conducting investigations or other projects as directed by manager, legal, human resources, etc. to resolve compliance issues.
  • Assist in providing education and training for providers and staff at practice sites both on an individual and group basis; and provides necessary tools for the ongoing implementation of compliance measures.
  • Perform ongoing reviews of medical record documentation and procedural and diagnosis coding by physicians/providers as directed by management; and prepares a written summary report of all reviews.
  • Assist in developing annual work plan for the Franciscan Alliance providers.
  • Provide practices with regular updates and reminders on proper documentation, coding, billing, and compliance guidelines (e.g. newsletters and Coding Updates).
  • Assist with special projects related to Franciscan Alliance providers or individual provider coding improvement and special assignments as assigned.

  • Possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

5-10 Years Experience

License(s):

Certification(s): CPC, CCS-P or RHIT
