Education Coordinator

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

At Franciscan Health, clinical professionals at all levels are required to complete various types of medical education. The GME Program Coordinator plays a big part in supporting that medical education and the academic progress and career development of our residents and fellow physicians. WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Comply with all requirements of the ACGME, including data input, annual updates, milestones, and annual survey delivery. 
  • Complete credentialing application for new residents and graduating residents.  
  • Manage day to day residency operations and act as the liaison between residency leadership, faculty, residents and internal departments such as HR, IT, Occupational Medicine, Legal and Med Staff.
  • Work closely with the DIO, Director of GME, and Program Directors to prepare and justify budget annually and as needed. 
  • Handle all necessary reimbursements.
  • Coordinate and verify resident licensure annually. 
  • Verify, track and report completion of residency requirements. 
  • Plan residency graduation and execute contracts and finalize event details.
  • Arrange and direct new resident orientation. 
  • Provide guidance and resources to residents to ensure supportive educational environment.
  • Proctor annual resident In-Training Exam.  Administer payment and register residents for In-Training exam.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Prior Administrative Assistant experience.
  • Knowledge of professional regulation and facility/program accreditation requirements.
  • Develop plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Performance management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
