For Summer 2019, we have two undergraduate intern openings. See below for details!



Team 1: End Users Support Services & Client Services

This intern will split their time between our End-User Support Services and Client Services teams. For the End User Support Services team, this intern will work on the following: Conduct IT Closets Audit (using a defined template), complete remediations and cleanup as identified, CMDB Cleanup of computing devices (Desktops, laptops, tablets and other mobile devices) Assist with prepping hardware’s for new hires (including device imaging). For the Client Services team, this intern will work on the following: Assist Analysts with non-sstandard systems DR Plans Review (semi-annual and annual reviews), assist Business Analysts in projects work, project intake documentation, risk assessment process, and remediation work. Across departments,  this intern may also work on Multifunction devices (Right Size) project, study behavior in busy areas, compare devices specs and capabilities and compare with actuals, so a plan can be formed to move the right device to the right place as needed. 


Helpful skills and experience include: Basic software troubleshooting including Windows 10 and Microsoft office, proficient with Excel, basic hardware troubleshooting PCs and printers, strong customer service skills, business analysis (oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving).


Team 2: Ancillary Applications

This intern would be involved with analysis and workflow review. You will have the opportunity to understand the lab interface of instruments. With over 50 ongoing lab projects across the department, there will be plenty of opportunity for this intern to have a hands on experience in completing project tasks. In addition there will be opportunities to learn the process of creating a Statement of Estimate (SOE) for the customer as well as gain an understanding of a Risk Assessment and potential Posture Assessment.


Helpful skills and experience include: Visio, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Qualified students will be pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degeree in an IT-related field

Previous work and/or internship experience preferred
