A computer security specialist is an integral part of our IS team. This is the role that assists in defining and assessing our organization's security strategy, architecture and practices. Evaluating new services, vendors, applications and security tools, this is a job that requires someone who is prompt, precise and professional. Do you have experience in information security? Are you a good problem-solver? Are you just as good at managing meetings as you are at managing user builds? We need someone with these skills on our team. 

  • Establish, refine and maintain performance measures and indicators (KPI’s).
  • Validate IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable.
  • Review security technologies, tools and services, and make recommendations to the broader security team for their use, based on security, financial and operational metrics.
  • Develop and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat divers.
  • Develop security strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices.
  • Conduct or facilitate threat modeling of services and applications that tie to the risk and data associated with the service or application.
  • Participate in application and infrastructure projects to provide security-planning advice.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture artifacts (e.g., models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations.  
  • Support the testing and validation of internal security controls.  
  • Ensure a complete, accurate and valid inventory of all systems, infrastructure and applications that should be logged by the security information and event management (SIEM) or log management tool.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
  • Knowledge of processes, tools, techniques and practices for assuring adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and Corporate Compliance and Privacy programs related to hospitals and/or Healthcare system.

Experience:  7-10 years  Experience


Required Certifications:  Please note 1 of the 3 certifications is required:

1.  Certified IS Security Professional (CISSP) or

2.  GIAC Secuirty Essentials (GSEC) or

3.  Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practioner (HCCISSP)
