WHAT WE NEED

Cyber Security Admin

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Cyber Security Admin is an integral part of our IS team. This is the role investigates and analyzes all response activities related to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave. They also executes first level responses and addresses reported or detected incidents. This is a job that requires someone who is prompt, precise and professional. Think you’ve got what it takes?

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Support and maintain security technologies for which the Cyber Security Operations team is responsible. 
  • Schedule and execute vulnerability scans; stay current on published vulnerabilities.
  • Work with the GRC team to catalog and track vulnerabilities; validate remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Get involved in information security incident response and investigations under the direction of a Specialist or higher position, following established procedures and protocols; maintain required documentation in accordance with policy and best practices.
  • Review reports from centralized log management system and take action where necessary; follow up on proactive alerts sent by centralized log management system or from MSSP monitoring log events. 
  • Assist with creation and review of cyber security operational policies, procedures, and standards.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Understand basic concepts related to the types of events of interest in electronic logs.
  • Fundamental understanding of conducting Information security investigations
  • Understands the differences between policies, standards and procedures and possesses good command of drafting content for each 
  • Understand basic methodology of conducting vulnerability scans and their potential impacts in a healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, PCI DSS, State PII laws governing Franciscan, and industry standard frameworks such as NIST, ISO 2700x, CIS Top 20 Controls, HICP
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Quick at learning, applying new information, and following instructions for standardized processes


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

Required:   Associates Degree in an IT-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, MIS, Information Security) or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Information Technology or Information Security Department.

 

Preferred:  Bachelor of Science Degree in an IT-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, MIS, Information Security).
Preferred:  Minumum 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry; experience in security operation activities aligning with essential jobs functions. 

Preferred:  CISSP, CEH, SANS, GIAC or other industry-recognized certification related to vulnerability scanning/management, Centralized log management, firewalls, IPS/IDS, or incident response.

 

Travel: Up to 20%
