WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Specialty Physicians of Illinois is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified, Family Medicine - Teaching Hospitalist, to meet the growing demand of our new Hospitalist Program in Olympia Fields, IL with past or present teaching experience preferred. 

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate is a Family Medicine physician who wants to be a part of the new Hospitalist Program in Olympia Fields, IL, as a Teaching Hospitalist. Preferred past or present teaching experience, a strong focus on clinical excellence, and primary teaching functions.

Physician will have a desire to teach in a community hospital setting with no publishing requirements. Candidates will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

A Capital investment of $170 million campus renovation of the Olympia Fields hospital; with 214 beds, support from major specialties and sub-specialties, a Cardiovascular Surgery Program and an Intensivist program with a 31 bed ICU.

 

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Weekend Call: 1:4
  • Average inpatient volume: 10 - 14 patients per day
  • Teaching experince preferred 
  • Employer will support training and competency education
    • Lines and Intubation preferred
  • Closed ICU Setting
  • CDU operative
  • Program will be a part of Rapid Response Team
  • 13 Fellowship/Residency Programs at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields
  • Common Diagnoses: 
    • Sepsis
    • Pneumnia
    • Renal Failure
    • Heart Failure
    • COPD
