WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our Point of Care Testing Coordinators work to standardize, develop, implement and provide oversight for all point-of-care testing performed to ensure the quality of POC testing, competency of staff and performance improvement. WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Coordinate, monitor, and ensure all required proficiency testing is performed and submitted in accordance with the regulations of the accrediting bodies.
  • Analyze all returned surveys and takes appropriate action as deemed by the accrediting bodies.
  • Create procedures for all POCT tests; revises documentation log for all POCT tests.
  • Train Clinical Educators on POCT testing; creates POC training material such as visual aids and CBTs.
  • Maintain POC testing scopes for all offices; creates annual POC competency material.
  • Review POCT test logs for technical and or clerical errors and problems.
  • Create initial CLIA applications, manages existing CLIA licensures, and prepares offices for CLIA inspections.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Knowledge of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Standard Precautions.
  • Manage conflict and tactfully handle complaints and difficult situations.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Knowledge of Hematology/blood collection technology, techniques, and procedures.
  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
  • Convey complex subject matter, simply.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Effectively communicate in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

3-5 Years Experience

License(s):

Certification(s): Medical Laboratory Technician; Medical Technologist

Travel: Up to 20%
