WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Health insurance research, verification and documentation is not for the faint of heart. It can be a confusing field with as many different situations as there are patients. If you’re good at figuring out the details, chasing down the right people, and coordinating documents – we have a position that needs your skills. This is a specialized coordinating position with a mission: helping patients get the medical services they need.

 

Are you good at coordinating phone & email communications to obtain information and follow-up as needed? Do you have a way with details? Are you willing to solve the puzzle that can be health insurance verification? We’ve got a challenge with a purpose waiting for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide clinical/coding chart record review for the CIV department.
  • Provide support to primary care practices and specialty care providers regarding authorization.
  • Become proficient in the use of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
  • Work with CIV verification staff to assist in contacting providers with authorization, denial, and appeals process information.
  • Assist in educating and acts as a clinical/coding resource for the CIV department.
  • Verify eligibility of members and participating status of providers.
  • Determine member benefit coverage.
  • Perform other duties as required.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Experience in Patient Accounting, specifically billing, collections, customer service or cash application.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with computers, Patient Accounting/EDI/Payer sites.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurances.
  • Medical and Managed Care Contract terminology.
